The snow lover by ~Tei-rei:iconTei-rei:

Samantha always loved the snow.  The way it had fluttered down from the sky as if angels had sprinkled it the way her big sister Helen had when she put sprinkles on Samatha's cupcakes for the tenth birthday.  Maybe it was because she loved to go sledding in the backyard.  Maybe it was because the snow often caused days off of school that she could spend with her family.

All her life Samantha had loved snow.  As she grew older her love never faltered.  Even when her family moved to the city for daddies new job she still found ways to go sledding and spend time in the cold.

In the city there was a bus that took her to the moutians, far away.  When Helen was free for the weekend the two would go up to ski, sled, and have other merry fun in the snow.  But as Helen grew she wanted to be in the snow less and less until finally she stopped coming with Samantha.

It had been a long year before Samantha returned to the resort.  She had come back alone.  She donned her skis and hit the slopes.  Halfway down she felt something try to grab her, she dissmissed the thought and continued skiing.  Sometime later she felt it again.  Once again, she forgot and continued skiing.  She felt it a third time, and stopped moving.  Something white was grabbing her foot.  "I love you."  She heard it say.  "Stay with me."  She tried to scream but she was pulled under the snow.

Samantha had always loved the snow and snow had always loved Samantha.  Like a good lover it had never left her side, it had merely come in different forms.
